My Body. My Boundaries. My Voice. Empowering individuals with disabilities. Because every person deserves to feel safe and have their voice heard.

I have autism and Fragile X syndrome.

I am a lot like you. I like to learn. I like to feel safe. I like to be happy. When I was little, someone I knew made a bad choice and hurt me. That was not okay. It was not my fault. Now I want to help kids like me learn about body safety. Your body belongs to you. You can say no. You can tell a safe adult if something feels wrong. You are important. Your feelings matter. You are never alone.

Evan’s friends help bring important lessons about inclusion, acceptance, and belonging to life. Each friend is unique, with different abilities, experiences, and ways of navigating the world, but they share something important: they want to be included, valued, respected, and treated just like you. Through friendship and everyday experiences, Evan and his friends remind readers that having a disability does not make someone less deserving of friendship, fun, opportunities, choices, or a voice.
