Hi! My Name Is Miguel!

I’m eight years old, and I have Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

Sometimes my muscles need a little extra help, so I use a gait walker to help me get around.

I really love being around people and making new friends. I love giving hugs, and two of my favorite things are pizza and cake!

I’m one of Evan and Ava’s friends, and I’m really excited to be part of Evan Says and Ava Says!

I’m here to help you learn about staying safe, understanding your body and personal space, knowing when something doesn’t feel right, and learning that it is okay to speak up.

I also want to help you learn something really important: even when you really like someone, you get to decide how you want to show affection and how you want others to show affection to you.

Evan, Ava, and I have lots to share with you, and I’m so excited to learn together!
